Christian Marcoux has been named national health practice leader and managing director of the Montreal office of Weber Shandwick Canada.
Marcoux was previously at National Public Relations in Montreal since 2013, where he won work with numerous brands, including Coppertone and Danone.
He began his career in the biopharmaceutical industry working as manager, brand communications for Pfizer Canada and Merck Canada. In 2010, Marcoux was appointed associate vice-president, global internal communications at Sanofi’s headquarters in Paris, France.
His work has received several industry distinctions, including the European Excellence Award in M&A communications for the integration of Genzyme within Sanofi, which he spearheaded.
