Sarah Weddell has stepped into the newly created position of vice-president and group leader of public affairs at the Vancouver office of Hill & Knowlton.

Sarah Weddell has stepped into the newly created position of vice-president and group leader of public affairs at the Vancouver office of Hill & Knowlton.

Weddell most recently led George Abbott’s campaign in the recent B.C. Liberal leadership race. Prior to that she worked at Vancouver-based National Public Relations where she oversaw clients in the transportation, energy, resource and health sectors.

Joy Jennissen, general manager at the Vancouver office, said that the public affairs department has doubled in size to 19 people over the last two years to accommodate a growing list of clients, although she would not disclose client names.
