WestJet has issued a request for information, starting a search for potential new agency partners.
The discount airline’s ad account has been with Taxi since 2005, and was one of the agency’s first large-scale national clients that helped cement its transition from hot boutique to breakout national player.
In an ad appearing in today’s Marketing Daily, WestJet said it is seeking a “best in class agency to deliver and implement a creative solution to address WestJet’s marketing’ needs,” which include strategic brand management, retail advertising, digital, direct and trade marketing.
The account seems to include both the main WestJet brand and its WestJet Vacations division.
The company is also considering using multiple, discipline-specific agencies, stepping away from the single-agency model it has employed with Taxi for six years.
