Which PR leaders made the Profit/Chatelaine W100?

Four PR pros made the annual ranking of the country's top women entrepreneurs

The PR industry made a strong showing on Profit/Chatelaine’s W100, a list of Canada’s top female entrepreneurs.

Now in its 17th year, the W100 ranks female entrepreneurs by a composite score that considers the size, growth rate and profitability of the companies they own and manage.

“This is a tremendous honour that speaks to the vision on which we founded North Strategic, and our latest venture, Notch Video. As an entrepreneur, I believe truly innovative companies with high growth potential are built from the ground up to disrupt markets, change minds and establish new benchmarks,” North Strategic founder Mia Pearson told Marketing in an email.

“I hope this award also serves as an inspiration for other female entrepreneurs across Canada. It’s up to all of us to work together to invest in the next generation of female entrepreneurs across Canada by offering mentorship, sponsorship and role models. Only then will young girls, like my own daughter, believe that no road block is unbreakable and that no dream too big.”

Four entrepreneurs in PR made the top 100 list this year:

#5: Mia Pearson, North Strategic

#72: Ruth Douglas, Fifth Story

#83: Christine Faulhaber, Faulhaber Communications

#95: Tracey Bochner, Paradigm Public Relations
