Wind Mobile and parent company Globalive Communications has selected M2 Universal as its media agency of record following a review that commenced in mid-November.
M2, an Interpublic-owned agency, will lead Wind Mobile into what chief marketing officer Mirko Rugarli called the “next phase” of the wireless company’s development.
“We are fortunate to be partnering with another great media agency and we look forward to building on our success,” he said in a release.
The account was formerly held by the Publicis-owned Starcom MediaVest Group.
Rugarli said M2 was selected on the basis of its creativity and strategic insights, which demonstrated what he called “clear leadership and a best-in-class approach” to managing the company’s media business.
M2 Universal president Sara Hill characterized Wind Mobile as “forward-thinking leaders and innovators. We are inspired by a brand that truly differentiates by giving consumers greater choice and value,” she said.
