Toronto-based Entrinsic, which describes itself as a “digital culture and communications agency,” has hired industry veteran Anthony Wolch as its executive creative director, effective immediately.

Wolch has more than 18 years industry experience and has held senior level positions at advertising agencies both in Canada and abroad, working on well-known brands such as Coca-Cola, Audi, Proctor & Gamble, Nike, Wal-Mart and Nestle.

Wolch, a Canadian, was most recently with Brandworks International where he served as president for six months. His other work experience includes stints as executive creative director at Publicis Helsinki, Organic and Fleishmann Hillard.

At Entrinsic, Wolch leads a team of six and oversees all of the agency’s creative work. Moving forward, he hopes to help clients make a greater commitment to the digital space, and to “create content that’s not only the best in Canada but recognized internationally.”

Wolch said part of what drew him to Entrinsic is the chemistry he shares with agency president Eli Singer. “He’s an incredible leader and an inspiring person to be around,” he said. “He’s very much a creative strategic thinker and I’m a strategic creative thinker, and so it fit perfectly together.”

Wolch has already started working with agency client Free The Children, the international charity and youth movement founded in 1995 by children’s rights advocate Craig Kielburger.

Wolch is working with the charity to help ramp up its social media presence and online discussions around its annual We Day event. The goal is to build the charity’s Facebook presence to 2.5 million Facebook fans. Today, the We Day Facebook fan page has nearly 1.9 million followers.
