Yield Branding and Community Foundations of Canada have formed a new partnership to launch a national awareness campaign this year for community foundations across the country.

There are 187 such foundations in Canada, and they exist to unite people from all walks of life to improve Canada as a place to live, and create more caring communities.

Toronto-based Yield will work with the national organization to develop a campaign and communications strategy, as well as a multimedia awareness campaign that will include TV, online, outdoor and radio.

Ian Bird, president and CEO of Community Foundations of Canada, said in a release that his group’s story and goal of building stronger and more resilient communities isn’t familiar to most Canadians. He added that Yield’s work on brand stories for both non-profit and private groups will lend itself well to the upcoming campaign.

Yield president Ted Nation said his agency has the opportunity to bring Community Foundations of Canada’s value to life and “make it relevant” to those that aren’t aware of its work.

Other Yield clients include Deloitte, Alpha, Porsche Canada, Blair Franklin and The Guarantee Company.
