Zulu Alpha Kilo has announced that Jeff Vermeersch, formerly with Proximity BBDO, has joined the agency in the newly-created senior role of creative technology director.
Vermeersch, who started at Zulu last week, has worked on digital-first campaigns for a range of clients including Skittles, M&Ms, Mini, WestJet, Heineken, Doritos and Visa His work has garnered him national and international recognition at the FWAs, The Webby Awards, The One Show and Cannes Lions.
“Zulu’s creative philosophy is that technology needs to be part of the creative development process at the beginning,” Zak Mroueh, chief creative officer and CEO of Zulu, told Marketing.
“Jeff works alongside our creative teams at the outset and adds tremendous experience and knowledge to both ideation and execution. It’s a very specialized role and Jeff is simply the best there is. I had the pleasure of working with him previously.”
Prior to his five years at Proximity BBDO, Vermeersch worked at Organic, UnpluggedTV.com and Taxi where he first worked closely with Mroueh.
