Andrew Zimakas, the chief marketing officer of Tangerine Bank, formerly ING Direct Canada, is leaving the financial institution after a four-year term, the company said today in a statement.
“The contributions that Andrew has made leading the marketing efforts at Tangerine over these years have been extraordinary,” it said. The company made Marketing‘s shortlist for Marketer of the Year in 2014.
“Throughout his tenure, he led and shaped the vision and direction of the marketing team, played an instrumental role in redefining the brand from a savings bank to the everyday bank we are today, and successfully strengthened our position in the hearts and minds of Canadians throughout our transition from ING Direct to Tangerine.”
