Google adds real-time ad measurement with comScore deal
Google is partnering with comScore as part of a new deal that promises to provide more “timely and precise” data on who sees ads online. As part of the deal, comScore’s validated Campaign Essentials product will be integrated into Google’s DoubleClick server, enabling real-time tracking. “Both advertisers and publishers will be able to see if a campaign is reaching the right audience in real time and make adjustments if it isn’t,” said Neal Mohan, vice-president of display advertising at Google.

Canadian kids better at navigating tablets than tying shoes
An AVG Technologies poll of Canadian moms has led to a slew of headlines about how tykes are better at tech than traditional skills, like tying shoes and bike riding. Fear mongering aside, the study showed Canada is indeed raising a generation of mobile natives. A staggering 76% of children between three and five can play computer games, while 40% can use a smartphone or tablet. Compare that to the 28% that can tie their laces and you may feel troubled. But don’t worry. There’s always Velcro.
