Facebook rolls out bigger ads on right column
Facebook’s right column is about to look a little different with the introduction of a new ad unit. Using the same proportions as its news feed ads, marketers will be able to choose whether they want to use the image they upload as a news feed or right column ad. In a blog post, Facebook said it expects the new ad format to drive more engagement. “With larger, more rich images, we expect this to make it easier to run campaigns, improve performance, and make for a better experience for people seeing ads,” Facebook said.

An up-close look at Millennials
A lot of statistics get thrown around about Millennials’ behaviour and lifestyles. Rather than random bits of information, it’s helpful when a survey digs deep into this demographic – loosely defined as those born in 1980 or later – to see what makes it tick. Pew Research Center did a survey in February in the U.S. that gives an enlightening look into Millennials’ financial situations, how they’re planning (or not) for the future and how many of them are getting married.

Google Glass available for one day only
Next week Google is launching a one-day promotion that will give regular consumers the chance to buy Google Glass. Previously available only to carefully selected customers who applied (including many agencies who got their hands on Glass), the promotion may be the next step towards releasing the product to the general public and testing whether the wearable will have mass market traction.
