The Big Apple has a ripe tech sector
Watch out, San Francisco. New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg says his city is the “hottest and most dynamic tech capital” in the States. A recent report shows the tech/information sector (which includes traditional tech companies and media and information companies) is the second-largest growth engine of the city’s economy, and that it has grown by 11% since 2007.

Pinterest wins court case against cyber squatter
There is Pinterest.com, then there is Pintorest.com and Pinterests.com and over 100 others operated by a “cyber squatter” using the popular social network’s brand to drive traffic to online casinos. Those sites are no more though, thanks to a California judge who ruled in favour of Pinterest, awarding the site $7.3 million dollars in damages in its case against the cyber squatter.
