Amazon to launch streaming device
Amazon tried to take a bite out of Apple’s tablet market and a host of other competitors with the release of its Kindle Fire. Now the e-tailer is setting its sights on a video-streaming device that could launch in time for the holiday season. The set-top box would run apps and serve Amazon’s streaming video service.

Investors mistakenly boost the wrong TWTR stock
Um, oops. After hearing the news that Twitter had filed its S-1 forms in preparation of its IPO, a slew of investors bought up TWTR stock. Just one problem: Twitter hasn’t gone public yet and its stocks aren’t available. Those investors were mistakenly buying stocks for another company, the Tweeter Home Entertainment Group, an electronics company that trades with the title TWTR Inc.

British grocer makes pink pasta for Breast Cancer Awareness
Pink toilet paper, pink guitars, pink playing cards, pink appliances and now pink pasta. A lot of brands have aligned themselves with and supported National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In a not-too-appetizing move, British supermarket chain Waitrose has launched a limited edition pink pasta flavoured with pomegranate and mint.

Production of Nintendo’s Wii console wanes
The Wii console isn’t being produced the same way it used to be. In Japan, the console is going to cease production altogether (it will still be manufactured outside Japan for international markets, but it’s not known for how much longer). Introduced and quickly embraced by gamers in 2006, this signals the end of a gaming era. (Of course, there’s still the Wii U…)
