Startups to pitch passengers on Turkish Airlines
Forget comedies, cartoons or action flicks. Turkish Airlines is taking in-flight movies to new heights. In a bid to promote Turkey’s tech industry, the airline is preparing to launch a test run of its “Invest On Board” program that streams two-minute pitch videos from startup companies to passengers in business class.

Canadian children want to be entrepreneurs
Entrepreneurialism is the most desired job amongst Canadian children, according to a new study commissioned by LinkedIn. It’s followed by a career in finance (22%) and being a doctor (18%). The survey also showed over one third of Canadian parents don’t understand what their children do for work. We’re guessing a few of those parents birthed “gurus.”

The 12 scams of Christmas
A new report by McAfee claims almost half of Canadians have encountered malicious activity while shopping online. The anti-virus company put together a list of the “12 scams of Christmas” to alert Canadian consumers to the dangers of online shopping and how they can protect themselves (using McAfee software, of course) this holiday season.

Sochi’s strict social media rules
It looks like there are more stringent social media rules for reporters covering next year’s Sochi Olympics compared to those of the 2012 Olympics in London. Print reporters heading to Russia have reportedly been told by a Russian news agency that if they don’t have the necessary badges, they’ll have their accreditation canceled if they report using multimedia.
