Flexo printing specialists ASL Print FX (formerly All Stick Label) headquartered in Vaughan, Ont. have claimed an award for technical achievement by the World Label Award Association for its printing of the Dan Aykroyd Sauvignon Blanc label.

The World Label Competition is judged based on top entries submitted from six regional label associations including the TLMI in North America, FINAT in Europe, the JFLP of Japan, the LMAI in India, LATMA of Australia and SALMA in New Zealand.

ASL’s World Awards entry follows its Best of Show at the 2010 TLMI awards in October 2010 for the Dan Aykroyd label.

“We are thrilled to be recognized by the judges as world class in technical achievement,” said Charlie MacLean, president & CEO ASL Print FX in a release.

The label was printed stochastic using UV-flexo inks and inline treatments including holographic cold foil, matte/gloss varnish, gold hot-stamping and raised varnish silk screening.

The Dan Aykroyd wine is bottled in Niagara.  CP
