The children’s toy and entertainment company Spin Master Ltd. has purchased ad space at OBN’s Tec Media Tower in Toronto Life Square as part of a campaign to promote its game Bakugan Battle Brawlers.

Jon Banack, Spin Master’s executive producer of creative services, said the toy company chose the space because of its high traffic levels. “It’s an exciting growing area [where there are] a lot of people,” he said, adding that the ads are targeting parents and their children.

Banack said he also hopes to expose the brand to Toronto tourists. “It’s a global brand and we want to hit a global audience,” he said.

In total the ads cover 3,600 square feet of advertising space and feature a video board promoting both the game and its Teletoon TV series.

The campaign started Monday and will run for six weeks. The unusually short outdoor contract filled a lull in Spin Master’s media plan for Bukagan, said Banack. More marketing for the game and the television show are expected in the fall.
