Carlson Wagonlit Travel goes Giant

Toronto agency Giants & Gentlemen lands a new account, starts work on new campaign

Giants & Gentlemen has been selected to head the advertising efforts for Carlson Wagonlit Travel.

Following a review process that saw them triumphant out of a shortlist of three unnamed agencies, the Toronto-based shop will be handling CWT’s North American Leisure division. The pitch involved strategic discussion, but no spec work.

CWT is looking for a change in its strategy.

“We are shaking things up in the category so we sought an agency partner with the experience, smarts and creative horsepower to help mold our path forward,” said Christine Ufniak, CWT’s director of marketing for the North American Leisure division, in a press release. “G&G stood out.”

“They want to reevaluate all the marketing they’re doing and they want to have a more professional integrated, insightful approach,” said Gino Cantalini, co-founder and chief strategy officer. “They basically want to step up their marketing efforts.”

A six-week campaign is slated to for May and will focus on a wide range of services to entice families to book summer vacations.
