Maxime Kouchnir has been named vice-president of marketing at Corby Spirit and Wine according to an announcement made Tuesday.

Kouchnir replaces Jeff Agdern, who is set to become senior vice-president of wine and champagnes at Pernod Ricard USA on Nov. 1.

Kouchnir is currently vice-president of marketing for vodkas for Pernod Ricard USA. The Harvard business school graduate has also worked with Danone in the U.S. and France, Scottish & Newcastle and Johnson & Johnson.

The new position is based out of Toronto.

“I am excited to accept this new role and look forward to helping grow Corby’s business both in Canada and abroad as we have great plans for Wiser’s beyond our borders,” he said in a release.

Corby markets Wiser’s whisky and Lambs rum, among other liquor brands.
