It pays to be a good liar for the “Best Lie About Your Age” contest, on DefineYourself.ca, a website dedicated to women and their feelings about aging.
Entrants can sign up by filling out a short online survey, then describing their best lie about their age in 250 words or less. The “Anti-Aging Diva” with the “craftiest” story will receive a $1,000 to spend at a MedSpa and will be featured on DefineYourself.ca.
“If we can get to the answers around why women lie, then we can understand more of the drivers around what women to the things that they do,” said Catharine Fennell, creative director for DefineYourself.ca and managing partner in Swing Think Inc., the agency behind the contest. “DefineYourself is about how women feel about the aging process, so it will be interesting in terms of the insights that we learn.”
The site features women expressing their feelings about maintaining their youthful appearance. The site is sponsored by Toronto-based Medicis Aesthetics Canada, which markets and distributes the cosmetic injection brand, Restylane.
A teaser video promoting the contest can be found on Facebook, Yahoo Video, BlipTV, LiveVideo, LiveJournal and Video.ca.
A panel of women from DefineYourself.ca and anti-aging experts will judge the entries. The contest opened Tuesday and closes Aug. 22.
