There really is an app for everything. Now, thanks to Audi, there is an app that notifies smartphone users when other apps are running unnecessarily and draining their battery.

The app, which was designed by DDB Spain, mimics the start-stop technology now included in Audi models such as the A3, A4 and A5.

According to Audi, the system helps save energy and “reduces CO2 emissions” by automatically switching off the car when it is stopped.
