Rogers has partnered with Toronto artist Dudeman on a colourful social media campaign to promote a new line of Nokia smartphones available in red, white and yellow.

In an online video, Dudeman creates an oversized art piece using the Nokia Lumia colours. Throughout the video, the artist talks about his mission to use colour in unexpected ways. The spot ends with an image of the phones and the campaign’s tagline, “Express yourself with colour.”

The video can be viewed on a Rogers’ Facebook page, where fans can also create their own art using the Nokia colours and stencils designed by Dudeman.

“Bringing in the admired and artistic local talent of Dudeman was a perfect fit for our target audience and the colourful messaging we wanted to showcase,” said Shelagh Stoneham, senior VP and general manager of brands and marketing at Rogers. The campaign targets “youth and the online community who are looking to embrace colour and style to help identify themselves.”

The campaign was created by Publicis. Media duties, including promoted video search on YouTube and promoted app ads and page posts, was handled by OMD.
