Grand & Toy has launched a website design and hosting service geared to small Canadian businesses.

Grand & Toy is pitching the service as a cost-effective way for smaller organizations to develop a strong web presence. The company promises website updates or new site designs for as little as $499.95, as well as hosting services beginning at $11.95 per month.

“We did a lot of research and this bubbled up as a service that was important with small business,” says David Addison, general manager, services for Grand & Toy. “It also aligned with where we wanted to take the company as far as some complementary services to our traditional offerings.”

According to Addison, the new service will be promoted at Grand & Toy stores and through direct marketing. It will also be integrated in other advertising initiatives, which are being handled by Toronto’s Publicis.

Grand & Toy hired Publicis last fall to conduct a rebranding effort. So far, the collaboration has produced a new Grand & Toy logo, and Addison says more evidence of the rebranding will become apparent in marketing initiatives in the coming months, though he would not provide specifics.
