Vancouver’s Granville Island Brewing has launched a campaign that highlights the brewer’s pride in the city and showcases some of the best ways to kick back and enjoy the West Coast beer.
Launched yesterday, the “Because We Know” campaign pays homage to the activities unique to Vancouver’s neighbourhoods, such as long-boarding along Commercial Drive and playing ‘frolf’ (a cross between Frisbee and golf).
Vancouverites can cap off these summer activities with a Granville Island brew, according to the campaign, which was developed by Wasserman + Partners Advertising.
The effort includes radio spots, transit and outdoor advertising, as well as in-bar activations running across the Newad network.
“Granville Island Brewing is known for brewing high-quality, great-tasting craft beers and this campaign is all about celebrating the people and places that inspire us every day,” Doug Devlin, marketing manager of Granville Island Brewing, said in a release.
Inspired by the West Coast lifestyle, Granville Island Brewing’s microbrews include Robson Street Hefeweizen, Brockton IPA and English Bay Pale Ale, among others.
Last October, Ontario-based Creemore Springs Brewing bought Granville Island Brewing, which was established in 1984.
