H&M signs The Weeknd to promote spring menswear line

Toronto-born singer will hand-pick items for the retailer's spring collection

The Weeknd is ready for his closeup as the new face of H&M.

The Canadian pop sensation is teaming up with the Swedish fast-fashion brand as he fronts its upcoming menswear collection “Spring Icons Selected by the Weeknd.”

H&M is keeping tightlipped on the details, but did disclose the line would feature key items handpicked by the Toronto-born singer-songwriter, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye.

This year has proven to be a blockbuster for the Weeknd, who scored multiple Juno and Grammy wins for his breakout album “Beauty Behind the Madness.”

He also nabbed an Oscar nomination for his slinky hit “Earned It” from the “Fifty Shades of Grey” soundtrack.

The Weeknd’s new album “Starboy” is due out Nov. 25.
