Topless men and women promote breast health

As a relief from cold, calculated corporate ad executions, the Toronto-based Rethink Breast Cancer charity has gone cheeky, bold and bare-breasted to generate awareness on the street and online with two recent campaigns.

Last week, to promote its 10th annual Boobyball gala fundraiser (happening Oct. 14 in Toronto) the charity spread its message across the chests of volunteer models on a busy downtown street corner. The event attracted major broadcast and newspaper “exposure” and picked up serious social media pass-along when Howie Mandel stumbled across – and tweeted – the stunt. Crispin Porter + Bogusky was the agency behind the execution.

With October being breast cancer awareness month, Rethink has also launched its Your Man Reminder app and promotional video. The app features a selection of six chiseled men that can be scheduled to remind users to check their breasts on a regular basis. The promotional video and app were created by Toronto’s John St.
