Marketing Hall of Legends reveals finalists for Marketer on the Rise award

Award identifies and celebrates the marketing leaders of tomorrow

At a special event held in downtown Toronto Tuesday night, American Marketing Association‘s Toronto Chapter and the Marketing Hall of Legends (MHOL) named the five finalists for the 2014 Marketer on the Rise award.

The Marketers on the Rise category was created in 2012 to identify mid-level marketers who are the leaders of tomorrow in the marketing profession.

According to MHOL, the nominees “exhibit both passion and talent and are already strong contributors to the profession of marketing.”

The finalists are:

Aaron Nemoy, senior brand manager, Kraft Food Group

Brad Canario, senior brand manager, Campbell Soup Company

Chitra Anand, head of communications, Microsoft Canada

D’Arcy Finley, vice-president, integrated marketing, Maple Leaf Foods

Justine Melman, executive director, digital strategy, Cineplex Entertainment

“It’s a proud moment…the candidates are among the brightest marketing stars fueling the industry,” said Tania Stadnik, chair of the Marketing Hall of Legends, in a release. “For the Toronto Chapter of the American Marketing Association, recognizing rising talent is equally important as honouring marketing legacies.”

The winner will be determined by online voting – which closes at midnight on Jan. 16, 2015 – and announced at the Marketing Hall of Legends gala on Jan. 30.
