While debate rages endlessly over which smartphone reins supreme, one thing we can all agree on is just how terrible Microsoft’s latest attack ads were.
The company posted seven videos Friday making fun of the new iPhones, suggesting Apple’s recent unveil was a little uninspired. That itself may be a fair criticism, but if you’re going to make fun of something, then, you know, be funny.
Microsoft’s overly long, poorly acted, low-budget ads were quickly taken down following a barrage of criticism. A Microsoft spokesperson told CNET the videos were “intended to be a lighthearted poke at our friends from Cupertino. But it was off the mark.” I’ll say.
