New Balance runs with Apex PR after competitive pitch

Toronto firm to provide full service public relations, social media and more

New Balance Canada has named Apex Public Relations of Toronto as its agency of record following a competitive pitch.

The agency will provide full service public relations, brand ambassador engagement, social media and digital marketing support and strategic planning services for the Boston-based athletic brand. New Balance is rolling out its new brand platform called Always in Beta.

Jon Purdy, marketing manager at New Balance Canada, said Apex was selected for its experience working with high profile retail, apparel and lifestyle brands.

“Apex’s creative approach demonstrated understanding of our brand purpose, and its willingness to push limits fit perfectly with our attitude and core values,” he said in a statement.

The first orders of business for Apex will include national media relations for holiday and spring collections as well as support for New Balance’s Girls Night Out program launching in January.
