WALTER LEVITT joins U.S. specialty channel Comedy Central as executive vice-president of marketing, effective April 11. Levitt will be responsible for brand development, consumer marketing and cross-business initiatives. Levitt spent the last six years with the former Canwest Broadcasting (now Shaw Media), most recently as chief marketing officer.

JENNIFER HOLGATE is now senior vice-president of digital at Starcom MediaVest Group Canada after consulting with the company for a year. Holgate was previously with Canwest Mediaworks (now Shaw Media), serving as vice-president of broadcast, interactive, sales and marketing.

MARTINE LAROUCHE joined Montreal-based Alfred as partner and vice-president of client services after months of working with the agency on a per project basis. Larouche has worked at Marketel, Publicis and Saint-Jacques Vallée Y&R.

STEPHANIE NERLICH was named the new president of Grey Canada. Nerlich, currently the president of Toronto-based agency Lowe Roche, replaces ANN NUROCK who joined the agency in 2008 from Grey South Africa. Nerlich is expected to takeover the position in May.

MIA PEARSON, president of Fleishman-Hillard Canada and JUSTIN CREALLY, president of High Road Communications, have resigned from their posts to start a new agency called North Strategic. JOHN BLYTH and ANNALISE COADY are replacing Pearson and Creally in their respective titles, and will both be based in Toronto.

GlassBox Television promoted SIMON FOSTER from vice-president to senior vice-president of digital publishing and business development. In his new role, Foster is responsible for the entertainment and lifestyle digital media business unit including managing product development, audience engagement, content and sales. Prior to joining GlassBox, Foster spent time at QuickPlay Media and Snap Media.
