On the Move: Additions to Addictive and The Garden

A weekly update of who's headed where in Canadian marketing and communications

The Garden named DIC DICKERSON as its new managing director. With over a decade of integrated leadership experience, working on both agency and client-side, he will bring a range of category experience across various segments to his new role at the Toronto-based creative company. Dickerson’s most notable work includes relaunching the Corona brand in Canada and overseeing multiple Canadian product launches for both Nissan and Audi.

Addictive Mobility added six to its Toronto sales and technical teams. VICTORIA MARTINEZ-LEES joins as an account director, IVA MARKOVIC as a senior technical account manager and DANIELLE THOMAS as a technical account manager. Meanwhile, BLAIR HODDINOTT joins as a devops engineer, KIERAN SEDGWICK as a software engineer, and ANSELM LAU as a junior data scientist.

Alibi Entertainment appointed MAUREEN NORMAN as director of sales and marketing for Alibi Branded, the company’s branded entertainment division. In her new role she will oversee the development, creation and production of short form digital content for consumer brands and seek out cross-platform integration opportunities. Norman most recently served as lead of emerging opportunities for the Shaw Media Marketing Ventures team.

Fort York VFX hired SAM MCLAREN as executive producer. McLaren spent the last 13 years as an executive producer at Panic & Bob Editing, where she collaborated with a number of Canadian commercial editors on projects for brands including IKEA, Budweiser, Alexander Keiths and Ford. McLaren has won a Gold Lion at Cannes, as well as a Silver Health Lion.
