On The Move: Changes at Carter Hales Design Lab, Spafax

Carter Hales Design Lab brought on JOANNE HENDERSON as studio manager. She joins the Vancouver design studio after working at Unisource, Wasserman + Partners Advertising, Edelman, and Hangar 18. She has worked with clients including Canadian Pacific Railways and Hewlett Packard. SHERRY JANG also joined the team as a senior designer. She won a GDC Salazar Award in 2006, and has worked with clients including Boston Pizza, Canadian Cancer Society and Vancouver International Airport

Spafax hired LINE ATALLAH, the founder and former CEO of Telegraphe Communications, as its head of digital. ALEXANDRA LECLERC joins the agency as account director for Air Canada responsible for managing the travel company’s content marketing program. COURTNEY MacNEIL was promoted to senior director of business development and client strategy; she will be growing new business, developing multi-discipline solutions for clients, and overseeing several teams. VIDA SCHULTZ, with more than 10 years of experience in communications and lifestyle PR, joins Spafax to oversee the PR and experiential teams. STEFANIE SOSIAK was added to the creative team as an art director for the Air Canada enRoute brand.

GfK named GARY COFER as the new managing director of North American business. The market research business made this hire to integrate its consumer choices and consumer experiences sectors in North America; Cofer will be responsible for both sectors. He was at Procter & Gamble for 24 years, and more recently was at consumer marketing firm Catalina, where he was responsible for the leadership, strategy and innovation for Catalina’s retail partners.

Cosmic hired ERIC KLEIN, previously an account manager at Thinkingbox, as head of new business development. At Cosmic, he will be responsible for creating new partnerships and landing new brand accounts. He will also be focusing on expanding entertainment clients and breaking into new industries such as real estate development. He will report directly to president Richard Stein.

Eyereturn Marketing hired JACOB SERMEZ, previously a data analyst at Yellow Pages, as a data solutions manager. PATRICIA EUGENIO joins the team as an account manager; she comes from Blue Ant Media. DEBBIE ZHU was added as a digital marketing coordinator after working for OutReach Media Solutions as a social media and SEO specialist. MICHAEL BRADY is Eyereturn’s newest junior software developer. JASON GAUDRY was announced as the agency’s regional sales manager of central Canada in Calgary; he leaves Postmedia. AMANDA PUI joins as an account executive, coming from Top Drawer Creative where she was a media planner. LAURA FISCHER is the new director of enterprise sales, and was most recently the country sales manager in Canada for TripAdvisor. Lastly, OENDRILA MAJUMER is going to be a creative production manager, previously working in digital creative services at Publicis Nurun.

Airtime Television Sales Inc. appointed SÉBASTIEN JONCAS as director of business development for the Quebec market. This move marks the official partnership of Serdy Media and Télé-Québec. Joncas has over 15 years of experience in media creativity sales, and brings expertise in television and digital media. With past positions at Astral Media and Bell Media, he will work towards offering clients made to measure campaigns.

The Tite Group brought on a new director of strategy, DANIEL LANGER-HACK, who will be responsible for brand and content strategy for all clients and all agency-owned content properties. Langur-Hack was previously at The Hive, Taxi, and Cossette. Also joining The agency is Group Account Director ALANA SALSBERG, who will lead the Microsoft business and recent account win, Mappedin. Prior to this appointment, Alana was senior account director at Teehan + Lax and has also worked at Organic, Y&R and Trapeze.

KATIE KNOPP returns to Zenergy Communications, a firm based in Toronto, Montreal and New York, as director of operations. Katie first joined the agency as an account xoordinator in 2008 and later agency manager before transitioning to Bell Mobility as direct marketing communications specialist in 2011, where she oversaw internal strategies and managed customer loyalty as well as retention direct marketing programs. She later moved onto Bell Media as brand partnership manager. Katie’s role at Zenergy Communications is focused on internal operations, client management and strategy and campaign development.
