Telus has introduced two more cute-critter TV spots—this time featuring parrots—to promote its Home Solutions product offering in Alberta and B.C.

An integrated campaign, created by Taxi, includes two 30-second TV commercials, radio, online, out-of-home and print ads. Each spot informs consumers that they can save over 15% when they sign up for the Telus home bundle service. In one ad, three parrots walk across the screen in slow motion, while the camera zooms in on each bird. Captions above each parrot read: “The most reliable home phone,” “All digital TV” and “Always fast Internet access.”

The phrase “They’re the baddest bundle around. In a nice way,” appears across a white screen. The spot ends with the parrots walking away and the super: “Telus home bundles.”

Print ads running in free commuter dailies feature the phrase “Your own little bundle of joy,” but with parrots appearing where the world “bundle” should be. The ads are meant to show that a bundle is better and that the Telus services are stronger when grouped together, said Rachael Mens, senior manager for media campaign planning for Telus.

The creative was customized for each province because the TV service add on option is only available in Alberta.

The campaign launched in April and wraps up the end of July. Media Experts handled the media buy.
