Finalists of the Product of the Year program gathered in a box at the Rogers Centre in Toronto to celebrate this year’s victors and watch the Toronto Blue Jays play the Texas Rangers. While the Jays were unable to seal the deal (losing 4-1 to the Rangers) the POY program put a red seal of approval on 14 products chosen by consumers through an online survey conducted by Rogers Connect Market Research Group of more than 54,000 Canadians.
Annual CMDC Conference

TIFF Bell Lightbox, Toronto
The conference was held at a new venue this year – the TIFF Bell Lightbox – and although attendees were surrounded by big screens, the buzz of the day was around much smaller screens and how they’re shifting consumer behaviour. Opening keynote speaker Jack Myers, chairman of The Media Advisory Group, said it’s “the single most important time for [media professionals] in our business careers.” There was lots of learning, but plenty of time to share a drink and catch up with colleagues.
