PetSafe Canada is asking pet owners to share their stories on Facebook about how their pets make them happy.
It’s all part of the #PetHappy campaign, in which one happy pet-owning storyteller will win $2,500 worth of PetSafe products and have their story and pet’s photo shared on PetSafe Canada’s Facebook page.
“It’s a fun, happy campaign,” says Annabel Lee, account executive at Maverick in Toronto, which handles public relations for PetSafe Canada.
Launched in conjunction with National Pet Week (May 3 – 9), the campaign runs until the end of May. It aims to build awareness of the brand’s lifestyle and well-being products.
The campaign is pegged to surveys and studies that have found almost all Canadians feel their pets improve their general well-being and physical and mental health, increase self-esteem and reduce stress.
In addition to public relations and social media, the campaign also includes a blogger outreach program.
Maverick is working with PetSafe’s PR agency in the U.K., HatTrick, which oversees public relations for PetSafe, which has its corporate headquarters in the U.S.
