Unilever’s Dove brand revealed yet another thought-provoking extension of its “Real Beauty” campaign this week, and opinions around it are divided.
The brand’s “Real Beauty Sketches” (created by Ogilvy Brazil) compares drawings of what women imagine they look like with what others say they look like, and insists that female consumers are more beautiful than they think. While many have celebrated the brand’s uplifting message to women, others have called its positivity disingenuous. Does “Sketches” live up to Real Beauty’s past work?
