Saatchi & Saatchi Canada has carved out some new turf.

The Toronto agency has been named agency of record for lawn and garden care company Scotts Canada following a review.

The agency will oversee all aspects of Mississauga, Ont.-based Scotts business, including lawn care, garden care, control products and bird food products. Other agencies participating in the review were not disclosed. The account was previously held by CP+B Canada.

“We really love the fact that they’re absolute leaders in their field,” said Saatchi & Saatchi CEO Stuart Payne. “It’s a real honour to be working with them in that regard. They seem to have a very good operation here in Canada–the people we’ve met so far are extremely professional and look like they’re going to be very interesting and fun to work with.”

Glenn Martin, director of marketing for Scotts Canada, said the company is excited about its new relationship with Saatchi.
