Pamela Griffith-Jones is the new chief marketing officer for Sears Canada Inc.

Griffith-Jones was most recently vice-president of the leisure products division at Canadian Tire Corporation and before that spent time at Cooper Lybrand Consulting.

“Her experience greatly qualifies her for this key position,” said Dene Rogers, president and chief executive officer, Sears Canada Inc., in a release.

In her new role, Griffith-Jones will lead “several initiatives” to improve Sears’ marketing, “including creating a direct marketing group, customizing assortments and marketing to become more relevant to our customers, and increasing the return on marketing investments.”
