Subaru Canada is going back to the Canada Winter Games as a sponsor for this year’s biennial competition.
The car company last sponsored the 2007 games in Whitehorse. At this year’s even in Halifax, Subaru will have on-site presence at the Canada Games Oval, setting up tents to provide refreshments and games to spectators. The 2011 models of the Outback and Forester will be on display as well.
Subaru will also provide a fleet of vehicles to event staff.
To promote its presence at the Games, a contest offering a grand prize trip for two to Whistler, B.C. will be hosted at the automaker’s Get Out More campaign website.
“Subaru is passionate about Canada’s athlete community and is proud to once again be supporting them in their quest for gold at the Canada Winter Games,” said Ted Lalka, vice-president, product planning and marketing for Subaru Canada, in a release. “Subaru is looking forward to seeing what Canada’s top athletic talent brings to the competitive table not only this year, but in the many years to come.”
