Tena, the supplier and manufacturer of incontinence products, has partnered with Volvo Cars of Canada Corp. to let Canadians know that the companies are “Protecting you. Everywhere.”

The SCA North America-Canada, Inc. brand and Volvo have launched a national contest based on a “protection platform,” said Sherri-Anne Fernandes, account manager at Toronto-based The Think Tank, the agency behind the contest.

“Volvo is all about protection, and Tena is about protecting consumers against bladder weakness…it was a perfect tie in,” she said.

Consumers can enter online at TenaProtects.ca or by mail for a chance to win a Volvo C30 or one of 50 personal protection prize packs.

The Tena product line includes pantiliners, pads, male guards and protective underwear.

In-store displays, on-pack stickers, pamphlets, direct mail and e-mail blasts promote the contest.

In a release, Lizelle Valdecanas, senior brand manager for Tena said the contest helps break down the stigma around having bladder weakness by emphasizing empowerment.

“Consumers want to be in the driver’s seat in their lives, and they view the Volvo brand as the ultimate in on-road safety and protection, making it the ideal partnership for Tena,” she said.

The promotion kicked off last month and runs until March.
