The Most Popular Ads in Canada, volume 2

Samsung, Kijiji and Corona place well, but who leads the YouTube pack?

In June it was Visa and BBDO’s “Smallenfreuden.” This month Jay-Z, Samsung and 72 and Sunny top the list of the most popular ads on YouTube among Canadian viewers.

The Most Watched Ads in Canada was launched last month through a partnership between Marketing and Google. Each month, Google will run the numbers and provide the list exclusively to Marketing to be shared with our readers.

The list is comprised of branded video ads that consumers choose to watch. The ranking is determined quantitatively from a combination of view-rates, views, and earned-to-paid view ratio.

And while the top ad was made-in-the-USA, a number of Canadian spots are on the list this time round.
