Telus has brought back its #HolidayMode campaign this year with some cute and creative suggestions for how to keep your phone occupied during the holidays, so it won’t distract you from family time.
Telus has created a wonderfully ambient YouTube fireplace channel to run on your phone while it’s in #HolidayMode. On its website, you can download the design for a papercraft fireplace that your phone will slot into, so it can stand on the table next to you while you chat with relatives.
Or if you’re feeling really ambitious, it’s also created knitting patterns for a #HolidayMode sweater that your device can wear to stay warm (and hide its pesky screen).
Telus and The & Partnership first came up with the idea to try and get Canadians to unplug from their devices for the holidays last December. The original campaign centered around anĀ ad where a little girl waves a magic wand to get family members to put down their devices and spend time together instead.
