Toronto Rehab, a specialized adult rehabilitation complex and continuing care hospital, has launched a new marketing campaign to shine a light on the growing need for its services in the province.
The effort from creative agency Manifest includes TV, print and radio and the new tag line, “Rehabilitation Saves Lives,” that helps draw attention to the positive impact rehabilitative services can have on those with a disabling injury or illness.
Current and former patients have shared testimonials for print ads running in the Globe and Mail and Zoomer magazine, and for radio spots as well.
One magazine ad features a picture of Allyson Forshaw who had a major stroke that left her unable to speak or use the left side of her body. The copy reads: “They brought me in on a stretcher but I vowed to leave on my feet.”
The TV spots feature staff members and focuses on the hospital’s patient care and research in stroke, heart disease, brain injury, spinal cord injury and sleep apnea.
The ads run until next June.
“The scope of what Toronto Rehab is doing is so wide, that a multi-media approach was the only way to get at it,” said Jim Diorio, creative director at Manifest, in a release. “The traditional media pull you in with the transformative power of rehabilitation.”
