McCain Foods Limited has appointed Dirk Van de Put as CEO and president effective, July 1.

McCain Foods has appointed Dirk Van de Put as CEO and president effective, July 1.

Van de Put was recruited in May 2010 as chief operating officer.

Van de Put’s predecessor at McCain was Dale Morrison. After a 7-year stay as president and CEO, Morrison will be leaving to become a founding partner in a private equity firm.

Van de Put has more than 20-years of food and consumer packaged goods industry experience from Novartis, where he was president of the $3-billion global over-the-counter consumer health business. He has also held executive positions with Group Danone and Mars.
