Vans Canada selects its first-ever PR agency of record

Bicom Communications will handle media relations, product launches and more

Action sports footwear, apparel and accessories brand Vans has chosen Bicom Communications as its public relations agency of record for Canada.

Bicom won the account through a competitive RFP.  It’s the first time Vans Canada has hired a PR agency as an AOR.

The agency, which has offices in Toronto and Montreal, will handle media relations, influencer engagement and new product launch events for Vans.

In addition, Bicom will create strategies that incorporate traditional media, influencers and the public for Vans’ 50th anniversary celebrations this year, says Bicom partner Vicky Boudreau.

“We are extremely excited to start this journey with Bicom, given their long history of creative and inventive PR strategies. It is their ability to build strong relationships with media and influencers alike that drew us to Bicom,” said Alex Auchu, marketing manager of Vans Canada, in a release.
