Nestled between Hermes and Burberry along Toronto’s Bloor Street West in the heart of the city’s Yorkville district is the newest retail haven for fashion-forward females with deep pockets.

Intermix opened the doors to its first Canadian location on Friday. The New York-based luxury boutique offers brand name dresses, footwear, handbags and accessories. Prices range from $68 for a t-shirt to over $2,000 for a raccoon fur vest.

CEO Khajak Keledjian and his brother Haro opened the first Intermix location in New York in 1996. The boutique chain has since grown to include over two dozen locations in the U.S.

Khajak invited Marketing to take a sneak peek at the Toronto location ahead of its grand opening. Here he discusses his plans for the Canadian market and how the new Toronto store differs from the U.S. locations.
