Canada Bread Company has launched a new television commercial that shows a number of ways consumers can enjoy its Dempster’s bread.

The 15 and 30-second spot from JWT kicks off with a version of the upbeat oldies favourite “I love Bread and Butter,” which was originally recorded by The New Beats.

The commercial continues the company’s push toward more natural products, promoting Dempster’s as a key source of grain and fibre.

The spots end with the line: “The bread you love. The goodness you need.”

Last year the brand underwent a package redesign to include the ingredients on the end of the package rather than on the back panel, as is custom.

The new look is a celebration of the ingredients and helps showcase the freshness of the bread.

Canada Bread Company is owned by Maple Leaf Foods,  Marketing’s 2011 Marketer of the Year.
