The home-cooked, country kitchen trope moves in waves through advertising, selling restaurants and just about any product meant for the dinner table. But when was the last time it was used to sell pet food?
The Quebec-based Bio Biscuit Inc., which makes oven-baked pet foods, has tapped Montreal’s EM Agency for its first-ever TV ads. The English and French spots are for the Oven-Baked Tradition line of dog and cat food.
“Seeing as we were working with a 15-second format, we opted for a simple and efficient message that is in tune with the brand’s traditional image,” said Harry Bouchard, creative vice-president at EM Agency. “By representing dogs and cats as grandmothers, we make people smile and increase Oven-Baked Tradition products’ likeability factor with the public.”
