Rethink continues the tradition of producing quirky and smart campaigns for the Vancouver-based amusement park Playland with a new effort that promotes the Atmosfear ride.

The 30-second commercial is a mock genesis of how the ride, which was designed and built in Austria, came to be, and the reaction it elicits from engineers, kids and spectators when hearing details of the new thrill ride.

Atmosfear serves as an observation tower and swing ride and stands 225 feet tall. Hitting top speeds of 70-kilometres-per-hour, riders are whirled 360 degrees in the air for two minutes.

This is the 10th Playland campaign from Rethink since taking over the account from DDB Vancouver 10 years ago. The agency has been recognized with dozens of awards for its work on the account, including Advertiser of the Year at the 2008 Marketing Awards.
