Jay-Z fans received some exciting news Sunday night during Game 5 of the NBA Finals: the hip-hop superstar/marketing mogul announced his new album, out July 4, via a three-minute Samsung commercial that aired during the game. One million lucky Samsung Galaxy and Samsung Note users will get the album for free 72 hours before the official release after downloading a customized mobile app to their Samsung phone. The app becomes available June 24. As Forbes noted earlier this month, Samsung and Jay-Z have also readied a new music streaming platform, although no release date has been specified.
