While the big three are shifting into Christmas mode (will this be known as the hashtagging granny spot or that one with RunDMC? ), challenger brand Wind Mobile just released an eye-catching spot that has nothing to do with the holiday season. The spot drives home Wind’s True Mobile Freedom positioning with slice-of-life moments where people want to say more than they could or should.

“Our new creative direction is structured to help customers internalize the key differentiators of how we do business with customers and in doing so, make us stand out,” said Radek Krasny, head of brand and communication.

“We know Canadians recognize us as innovators in this market and we want to remind them of that. The television work, especially, really shows customers what we’ve always been about as a company—no hidden fees, no contracts and real unlimited plans.”

The True Mobile Freedom creative positioning from MacLaren McCann was introduced in August for back to school.
